Before you download

A Mac with macOS 13 or newer (Apple silicon or Intel), your PS5, and an active membership. The app will guide you from there.

Open the downloaded disk image and drag NinjaSaves to your Applications folder. Open it from Applications so it can keep itself up to date.

First open on macOS

This release isn’t notarized by Apple yet, so macOS blocks it the first time you open it. To allow it once:

  1. Open NinjaSaves from Applications, then close the warning without moving the app to the Trash.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, choose Open Anyway and confirm.
  3. That’s it. Updates install automatically afterwards, without asking again.

Do I need to jailbreak my PS5?

No. NinjaSaves works with a normal, unmodified PS5 and installs nothing on it. It connects through the PS5’s built-in Data Transfer over your home network.

Do I need access?

Yes. You unlock access to download and use the desktop app. You can browse this page without an account; we’ll ask you to log in when you download.

Does the app need to be installed?

On Windows, run the installer. It installs NinjaSaves for your user account without administrator rights and keeps it up to date. A portable .exe is also available. Microsoft Edge WebView2 is required. On Linux, install the .deb package so its desktop dependencies and console connection permission are set up, then open NinjaSaves from your applications menu.

How do I update NinjaSaves?

The installed Windows app updates itself: it downloads and verifies updates in the background and installs them when no save transfer is running. A portable copy can switch to the installed app in one click. On Linux, install the new .deb over your current package. Your account settings are kept.

How do I install NinjaSaves on a Mac?

Open the downloaded disk image and drag NinjaSaves to your Applications folder, then open it from Applications. Run it from there so it can keep itself up to date: the Mac app downloads, verifies and installs updates automatically.

Which systems are supported?

Choose Windows x64, Linux x64 or macOS. The Linux package targets an updated Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, or Debian 12 or newer, with a graphical desktop and an unlocked system keyring. The macOS app runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 13 or newer. ARM packages for Windows and Linux are not available yet.
